Commentary: As a recent college graduate in the field of communications, I realized the importance of having a web form of a resume, curriculum vitae and/or portfolio. The one you work on is completely up to you and the field that you are in; however, the fact that the average American spends 31.6 hours a month on-line, 39.6 for Canadians and 31.2 for the United Kingdoms (comscore.com). So, as you focus your personal marketing around this, you'll be able to be where the people already are. This path is also considerably cheaper than other forms. However, despite the time spent on-line, people are still impatient, so fitting everything neatly on one page expedites the process. It also allows you to put things on your page in such a manner that people can see what they need quickly and get caught up with extras if they have the time.
